About Harry (Guru) Khanna.
In 1986, Harvinder Khanna, known by his customers as “Guru”, owned a successful Indian restaurant in Toronto called Guru Restaurant and Pub. Its unique ambience, authentic cuisine and incredible assortment of international brews made it a popular dining destination. Guru, a master chef in Indian cuisine, eventually sold his restaurant to pursue his real passion…to create his own line of specialty curry sauces.
To create the best tasting, highest quality curry sauces available today, Guru moved to India to find the very best exotic spices and ingredients the country had to offer. After all, a spice to a curry sauce is like yeast to a loaf of bread…essential!
With perfected recipes and superb ingredients, Guru returned to Canada and launched “Guru Food Products Ltd.” and released his first three signature sauces: Curry, Butter Chicken and Veggie Makhni.
